What is a Sub-Account?

A sub-account is an additional account linked to an existing OKX account. You can create multiple sub-accounts to diversify trading strategies and mitigate risks. Sub-accounts support various operations, including spot trading, margin trading, futures trading, and deposits. However, withdrawals are disabled for sub-accounts.

How to Create a Sub-Account?

  1. Log in to your main account on OKX and navigate to Profile.
  2. Click + Create Sub-Account, then enter a Login Name and select an Account Type:

    • Standard Sub-Account: Allows fund separation for different trading strategies via deposits and transfers. Withdrawals are restricted.
    • Custodial Trading Sub-Account: Enables delegation to professional trading teams. Asset security is guaranteed, and you may receive VIP rates during the binding period.
  3. Review the details and click Confirm All.
  4. Enter the two-factor authentication (2FA) code and click Submit.

How to Log In to a Sub-Account?

  1. Log in to your main account at okx.com and go to Account Management.
  2. Enable the Switchable option to toggle between sub-accounts and the main account.
  3. Select Switch next to the desired sub-account. Alternatively, navigate to Profile > Switch Account and choose the sub-account.
