Dear OKX Users,
To improve market depth for USDT contracts and enhance your trading experience, we will soon adjust the face values of USDT perpetual and delivery contracts.
USDT Perpetual Contracts Adjustments
Only BTC, EOS, and ETH perpetual contracts will undergo face value adjustments. Details and timelines:
| Contract | Current Face Value | Adjusted Face Value | Multiplier | Adjustment Time (HKT) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EOSUSDT Perpetual | 0.1 EOS | 10 EOS | 100x | March 17, 16:00–16:30 |
| ETHUSDT Perpetual | 0.001 ETH | 0.1 ETH | 100x | March 19, 16:00–16:30 |
| BTCUSDT Perpetual | 0.0001 BTC | 0.01 BTC | 100x | March 20, 16:00–16:30 |
Key Notes During Upgrade:
- Trading pauses for 30 minutes per upgrade. Users cannot place/cancel orders, adjust margins, or transfer funds.
- Positions and orders for BTC, EOS, and ETH will be recalculated post-upgrade (details below).
1. Position Adjustments
- Full Lots (100x): Positions merge proportionally (e.g., 100 contracts → 1 contract; same BTC value).
- Partial Lots: Non-100 multiples are liquidated at the settlement price (e.g., 360 contracts → 3 contracts + 60 liquidated).
2. Order Adjustments
- Limit Orders: Full lots merge (100 → 1); partial lots are rounded down (e.g., 360 → 3).
- Partial Fills: Unfilled portions are canceled.
- Stop/Trailing Orders: Treated like limit orders.
- Advanced Orders (Iceberg/TWAP): Canceled entirely.
USDT Delivery Contracts Adjustments
All delivery contracts will adjust face values post-quarterly settlement on March 27, 16:00 (HKT):
| Coin | Current Face Value | Adjusted Face Value | Multiplier |
|---|---|---|---|
| BTC | 0.0001 BTC | 0.01 BTC | 100x |
| EOS | 0.1 EOS | 10 EOS | 100x |
| LTC | 0.001 LTC | 1 LTC | 1000x |
| ... (full table abbreviated) |
Upgrade Impact:
- Positions: Contract quantities reduce to 1/100 or 1/1000; coin values remain unchanged.
- Orders: Similar recalculation as perpetual contracts.
